We read totals only. Nothing in your accounting is written to, and your key is not kept.

API key

Create one in your Odoo under Preferences → Account Security → New API key. The key identifies its user: we do not ask for your password and could not use one.

Ideally, use a key that cannot write. Odoo cannot restrict a key — it carries every right of its user — but it can restrict the user: create one with the read-only accounting role and generate the key from it.

Not required: on Enterprise an extra user costs a seat, and we are not going to make you pay one to buy from us.

Whatever key you give us, our program confines itself to eight read calls and refuses every other one before opening a connection — and if your key can write, the next screen says so.

I accept the terms of the service and the data-processing agreement (version 1.5 — 2026-08-07), which govern the reading that starts when I press the button below.

We keep the date, the version and the address the acceptance came from — so that a year from now, both of us can say which text bound us. Nothing else.

Your key is neither stored nor passed to a third party: it lives in memory for this reading only and is gone when the page comes back. You can revoke it right after, and you paste it again at build time.
